About Us

The South Borsetshire Hounds meet twice a week.

The country is in South Borsetshire and East Barland and extends thirty five miles north to south and twenty miles east to west.  The country consists of dairy and mixed farming and as a result is well hedged.  The country is well foxed and carries a good scent.

The Hassett Hills are hunted on Wednesdays and the main vale on Saturdays.  The country is lately restricted by the growth of Felpersham but still allows a good run across country away from main roads and development.

A thoroughbred horse is recommended for this country particularly in the vale.
